Home Remedies for Children's NOSEBLEEDS
- Your child should sit up and, with the head slightly
bent forward, pinch the bridge of the nose firmly between the thumb and forefinger. Keep the pressure up until the bleeding stops.
- Lying down is not recommended as it forces the
blood down the throat.
- Try pressing the acupressure point between the tip
of the nose and lip for 30 to 60 seconds.
- Witch hazel is an astringent that helps to stop
bleeding. Add 15 drops to 1 cup (240 ml) of cooled boiled water. Saturate a piece of cotton wool in this solution and hold under the nose.
