||Home Remedies for Children's BRUISES
- Wrap some ice cubes in a flannel (or frozen peas in a
kitchen towel) and hold against the affected area.
Spray the bruise with cold water (use the shower
nozzle, atomizer or pump-action bottle) as soon as it
appears, and each day until it fades away.
- Vitamin C and bioflavonoid can strengthen the tiny
blood capillaries, making them more resilient to
damage. These nutrients can be found in most fresh
fruits and vegetables, particularly citrus fruits black
fruits such as black grapes, blackberries and
bilberries, green peppers and parsley.
- Lavender essence helps to reduce the inflammation
and speed healing. Add 2 drops to 30 ml of
Hypericum oil, as this also has soothing and pain-
relieving properties. (For babies over 1 year old: use
Lavender or Geranium.)
