Limitations of Magnetic Therapy
It is important to note that just everybody cannot tolerate the effects of magnetism. There are
people who are very sensitive to magnetism and may react to the therapy.
- Sometimes people experience an increase in the pulse rate.
- The application of magnet may lead to an increase in the body heat, or tachycardia, or
sometimes vertigo also. This is due to sudden rush of blood to these areas.
- Another word of caution is that magnetic treatment is an aid to treating, in the
alternative systems. It is not always curative in itself. As stated earlier, it depends upon
the stage of the disease. Only diseases at the functional level come under its domain.
Other diseases are helped by magnets in treatment but can be cured with medicines of
any system.
Homeopathy goes very well with magnet therapy, as the purpose of treatment in both is the
same, i.e., balancing the energy levels in the body. Both treat the patients by increasing the
curative power of the individual. It is interesting to know that we have three medicines

Moreover, the physician should not be too optimistic and must evaluate the case from time to
time. It is important to observe whether the patient is actually healing, or is just being palliated
by the treatment. The physician should also observe if the disease is not being transferred from
one organ to the other.
